Review for Wayward Soul

Title: Wayward Soul
Author: Kim Bowman

Description: When Zanna Seoul accidentally causes the death of a fellow spirit guide’s charge while trying to save the life of the man she loves, she is stripped of her position and banished to Earth to die. In the spirit world, one doesn’t mess with what’s written.

With Zanna no longer guiding him and his memory of her erased, Owen Nash is left wide open as the target of the vengeful spirit guide who feels he’s been wronged. A guide who also happens to be a werewolf. Once on Earth, Zanna refuses to stand by and watch Owen die, so she intervenes again, setting off a chain of events that could mean death for all of them if she doesn’t go back and undo the mess she’s made. Can Zanna succeed before the werewolf does?

Summary: Zanna is a spirit guide to Owen meant to help him along his way through his life chart. Only, she falls for her charge, and winds up messing with the order of his chart where he lives and throws off a fellow spirit guide's charge who is a murderer. So the sentry strips her of her immortality and sends her back, only the other guide is not forgiving and a werewolf. So he decides to carry out the rest of his now dead charges murders, including still trying to kill Owen. Zanna isnt having it, and even though she is human, she is trying to save them all. Only then does the other guide go for Owens weakness, his son.

My Thoughts:Kim Bowman is a new author to me. When i first started to read the story, I wasn't sure I was going to completely like it. Then it hooked me in the first few sentences and i was amazed at how much i wanted to get to the next page to see what happened next. I loved Zanna. She is what every heroine i love to read should be, she's strong and fights for what she  loves and feels is right. Owen is a good, strong leading man written just right for Zanna. I found myself loving each word, growling in irritation at the werewolf who i kept hoping they would kill, and cheering in happiness at the end. I will definitely be looking for more books or short stories by Bowman in the future
