Review for What Money Can't Buy

Title: What Money Cant Buy
Author: Liz Borino

Description: What Money Can’t Buy, the sequel to Expectations, finds the two couples, Chris and Aiden and Matt and Carley, eagerly anticipating parenthood. However, their personal struggles continue. Though Matt overcame his dependency on alcohol, new temptations present themselves. And with Carley on bed rest, these temptations put a greater strain on their relationship. Chris continues to deal with issues regarding his father. These issues increase with greater proximity. When tragedy strikes, the best and worst in everyone is revealed. Can they stick together, or will their reactions tear them apart?

Summary: Matt, Chris, and Aiden are back and settling into houses of their own for their growing families. Chris and Aiden are taking care of the twin's father, though Chris still has a hard time with what was done to him. Meghan moved in with Chris and Aiden to be more comfortable while carrying their babies. Soon Aiden gets hurt and has to rest and cant dance till he is healed, but that comes at the worst time as he took on a special class. Sarah, the nurse to the twin's father, has something against Chris and Aidens relationship, but is starting to like  Matt. Then tragedy strikes for Chris and Aiden while Meghan is carrying the babies.Matt let go of his drinking and player ways once he fell for Carley, but now has another the beginnings of another addiction. Matt's girlfriend Carley, notices that Matt isn't acting quite himself so she starts thinking the worst in her hormonal, bed-ridden, pregnancy state.  So much so that the increase in her lack of trust may end up hurting their relationship.

My Thoughts: Oh Liz you did it again. The first book I was hesitant about, then couldn't get enough and wanted to jump right into the next. Then I start the second book and I was drawn in again. Liz Borino has evolved her characters more in this book. You went everywhere in this book with emotions. You felt the tender love between Chris and Aiden.I Sympathized with Carley but there were times when her over reactions got on my nerves. Matt has a bit of a bad rap since his last secret drinking problem is known which makes him feel ganged up on. I teared up when the incident with Meghan happened .And by the end I was at the edge of my seat clicking to get to the next page, holding my breath in hope, frustration, and by the end, ultimately joy. I for one can't wait for book three to see where Liz takes us all on our next journey into the boys lives.

5 out of 5 stars

Sounds like there is much drama to be read in those pages. Great review!
